Angela Gleason serves as senior counsel at the American Insurance Association (AIA) and handles issues relating to cybersecurity, privacy, travel insurance, surety, construction and intellectual property. She closely monitors legislative and regulatory developments in cybersecurity and cyber insurance at both the federal and state level and leads policy responses to these developments along with a diverse group of company personnel. When the International Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) began to design and implement its New Generic-Top-Level Domain Program, she led AIA’s efforts to comment on and shape the Program and assessed the impact it would have on the insurance industry. 

Ms. Gleason is Chair of the fTLD Registry Services’ Advisory Counsel and a member of the Virginia and D.C. Bars. Prior to joining AIA, she was an intern in the corporate law department at Progressive Insurance. She holds a J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and a B.A. from John Carroll University.
