AIA Statement on Confirmation of Ray Farmer to Head South Carolina's Insurance Department

AIA STATEMENT ON CONFIRMATION OF RAY FARMER TO HEAD SOUTH CAROLINA’S INSURANCE DEPARTMENT

WASHINGTON, D.C., February 15, 2013—Leigh Ann Pusey, president and CEO of the American Insurance Association (AIA), issued the following statement on Ray Farmer’s confirmation to serve as director of South Carolina’s Insurance Department. Prior to Farmer’s appointment, he had worked in AIA’s Southeast Region office, most recently serving as vice president for state affairs until his retirement from AIA in the fall of 2012. Farmer has more than 40 years of insurance experience.

Ms. Pusey’s statement follows:
