Washington, D.C. July 26, 2017 --  The American Insurance Association issued the following statement ahead of the House Small Business Committee hearing on cybersecurity insurance. The hearing will examine the options available to small businesses to manage their risks and the ways insurers can adapt to meet business' needs.

A statement from Angela Gleason, AIA's senior counsel, follows:

“In today’s increasingly interconnected world, cyberattacks can affect any business, regardless of size or industry. As cyber risks continue to change and evolve, businesses must evaluate their individual risks and vulnerabilities, and the cyber insurance market must be allowed to grow and innovate to meet those needs.”
