Commercial Lines Regulatory Modernization

In an era of seemingly endless innovation, businesses are demanding increased access to more diverse insurance products that will help them keep pace with their changing risk needs.  Unfortunately, in many states, the regulation of property‚Äźcasualty insurance products has remained largely unchanged for decades, locking insurers into filed rates and policy forms with limited leeway to negotiate prices and policy terms with customers.  A more dynamic regulatory system will allow businesses purchasing insurance to benefit from a broader range of options and products that can be readily customized to fit the specific needs of their enterprise.  AIA is driving efforts to modernize this outdated commercial lines regulatory system.
