Cyber Security

Given the nature of today’s interconnected world, information systems and networks are constantly threatened by sophisticated bad actors.  As a result, cybersecurity must remain a top priority for government and businesses alike.  To keep pace with emerging technologies and threats, any state and federal effort to create baseline cybersecurity standards must be flexible and risk-based.  Such an approach streamlines and prioritizes the efforts of IT professionals and maximizes consumer protection.

Additionally, property casualty insurers are uniquely part of cybersecurity conversations as providers of cyber insurance.  Cyber insurance is a useful risk transfer mechanism that helps companies think through their individual risk assessments.
